UPDATE: Joseph Mario Moreno, Ambrosio Medrano among seven indicted

Two former lawmakers who worked for the city of Chicago and Cook County, respectively, were arrested Thursday on federal corruption charges, officials said.

Details of the charges, against a total of seven defendants, will be unsealed when the pair appear in federal court at 3 p.m., according to Randall Samborn with the U.S. Attorney's office in Chicago.

Law enforcement officials said they'll speak to the media following the court appearance.
