Trading Senate for Cabinet Seat “a Totally Legitimate Ask”

When Blagojevich was seeking a cabinet post in exchange for appointing Valerie Jarrett to the Senate seat, Greenlee told him it was " a totally legitimate ask." Attorney Aaron Goldstein asked if he wasnt essentially telling the governor that the idea was lawful.  When Greenlee disagreed, Goldstein tried to show him a dictionary.

An incredulous Judge Zagel stopped him.  "You know we don't allow dictionaries in the courtroom!" he said.

Greenlee said, in reality, in all of the Senate discussions he merely told Blagojevich what he wanted to hear, that he was not giving him advice.
