Anyone heading to Millennium Park on Monday for Rahm Emanuel's inauguration as mayor of Chicago will be subjected to security. Tight security.
Vice-President Joe Biden and Department of Transportation Secretary Ray Lahood are said to be among the attendees.
"I think this speaks volumes about the vice president's friendship for our city," Emanuel told reporters Thursday.
The U.S. Secret Service on Thursday was seen scoping around the park.
Emanuel, of course, served as President Obama's Chief of Staff before vacating the position last year to make a run for mayor.
President Obama's Monday schedule includes an appearance in Memphis, Tenn.
