The Buzz: Wortham has cred in her district, and not just because of the billboard touting her campaign at 95th and Michigan. The former journalism student at Howard University, has been the deputy director of the Chicago Police Department's CAPS Implementation program since 2010. She recently encountered a personal tragedy in 2011. Wortham is the sister of slain officer Thomas Wortham IV. Wortham, who holds a Juris Doctor from Chicago Kent College of Law, says that public safety is one of her top priorities.
