The Buzz: As a mentor and educator at the Little Village Lawndale High School, Rudy Lozano Jr., the son of late activist Rudy Lozano, helped organize safe passages to and from school, after-school programs, and anti-violence initiatives. If elected, he plans to partner with growing green industries to invest in job training and certification programs to transform low-wage jobs into living-wage careers. Lozano ran for State Representative in Illinois' 23rd District in 2010 but lost.
