The Candidate: Robert "Bob" James Dold
The Race: Incumbent for the Tenth Congressional District of Illinois
The Competition: Brad Schneider
The Buzz: Dold considers himself a moderate Republican, differentiating himself from the other three conservative congressional house members. He supports abortion rights and has introduced Protecting Women's Access to Healthcare Act which would prevent government blockage of funds to Planned Parenthood. Dold previously served as an aide during the term of former President George H.W. Bush. He also worked in Senator Robert Dole's 1996 campaign as well as spending some time as a congressional staffer.
