The Buzz: Raul Montes, Jr. has been an activist in the community for years. He fought privatization and the rising cost of city stickers and supported bringing more resources into Little Village. He is an advocate for "Blue Light" surveillance cameras to help discourage crime and in 2009 he helped allocate funds to reconstruct the 31st street bridge separating Chicago and Cicero.
