Obama Reclaims Rahm Staffer

Ben Labolt -- the go to guy on the press team for Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel is about to jump ship back to the big leagues.

He's going to be the press spokesman for President Obama's reelection campaign.

Just 29 years old -- from suburban LaGrange -- Labolt will soon move back to the Obama team, where he served as one of Obama's press aides before breaking off to run Emanuel's elections communications.

This means LaBolt will work out of the Prudential Building and be joined by  fellow Chicagoan Katie Hogan as the president's reelection messaging folks.

Hogan, a southside native, will be Deputy Press Secretary.

Finally, don't forget media guru David Axelrod will also be part of this team.

Meanwhile, the new  mayor has chosen two women to lead his press team.

The Communications Director at Chicago's City Hall will be Chris Mather.  She's  currently the Communications Director for the Deptartment of Agriculture.  Mather has worked in Chicago for labor, trial lawyers and women's advocacy groups.

Also Tarrah Cooper -- who's been with Emanuel here in Chicago since October and also worked on the Obama team  -- will assist Mather as press secretary.
