Obama Gives Daley a Framed Map

President Barack Obama Wednesday spent some time with outgoing Mayor Richard Daley.

The two men spoke at length after the president taped an episode of the Oprah Winfrey show as they rode to the airport (Daley sat in the front row during the taping.)

Before they hopped in the car, Obama gave Daley a framed surveyors map of Chicago from 1834 with a personal note that said: “Mayor Richard Daley, Thank you for making a great American city a great world city.”

During the presentation, Obama quipped: "Make sure if Rahm messes up that you give him some tips."

Obama said he wouldn't return to Chicago before the end of Daley's term -- May 16th -- and wanted to honor his service today.
