Obama Declines To Answer Rahm-For-Prez Rumors

Mayor Rahm Emanuel for president? Emanuel says no way and his old boss, President Barack Obama, ain't talking.

Obama declined to answer questions from pool reporters Friday morning about rumors regarding his former White House chief of staff considering a bid for the top office in 2016.

Though Emanuel and his office have repeatedly denied past rumors of a presidential run, the Daily Beast on Thursday said two well-placed Democratic sources told them Emanuel will throw his hat in the ring if Hillary Clinton decides not to run.

What say Obama?

According to a Friday pool report, "POTUS declined to answer questions about Secretary of Defense nominee Chuck Hagel and about the 2016 presidential prospects of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the former White House chief of staff."

The president travels to Emanuel's turf, the Obama family's hometown, Friday to discuss the economy and proposals to prevent gun violence.
