There is no love lost between Bill Beavers, former alderman and county commissioner, and Jesse Jackson Jr.

Jackson built a political machine that vanquished Beavers.  The congressman's wife, Sandi, won the 7th ward aldermanic seat to which Beavers' daughter, Darcel, had been appointed.  Sandi Jackson defeated Bill Beavers for 7th ward committeeman as well.
But today Beavers, reached by phone, said he had no comment on Jackson Jr.'s abrupt resignation from Congress.  Nor the federal investigation that is currently underway into the now-former Congressman's use of his campaign fund.
Beavers, who goes on trial on December 3rd in federal court on corruption charges, was asked if he feels any sense of satisfaction or vindication in Jackson Jr.'s current legal difficulties responded, "Nope, none at all."
