The Buzz: Jakobsson has served as representative in the 103rd District since 2003. Her top priorities have been to increase funding for education, improve access to affordable health care and strengthen environmental standards. She is the chairperson of the higher education committee and the vice chair of the adoption reform committee.
She recently sponsored a bill that expanded the definition of "safe haven" where parents can safely and legally give up their newborns.
