Michelle Obama Visits Chicago Thursday for Fundraisers

First Lady Michelle Obama returns to Chicago this week for two fundraisers: one at the former home of Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Studios and the other at the home of a media mogul.

The first lady arrives Thursday, and according to Chicago Sun-Times columnist Lynn Sweet, this could be her last fund-raising trip home before the election.

Tickets to the 3:30 p.m. Harpo event, hosted with the Generation Forty Four group, start at $250 per person for general admission, according to the event's RSVP page. Preferred seating costs $1,000, and a $2,500 ticket gets you a photo and two reception tickets. The $3,500 ticket buys a group photo and preferred seating at the reception.

Sweet reports the $250 tickets have sold out.

As for the second fundraiser, it's scheduled for Fred Eychaner's house and includes members of the Obama campaign Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Leadership Council, according to Sweet.

Tickets to the event range from $1,000 per person to $15,000 per couple.
