The residential lot next to President Barack Obama's Kenwood home could be yours for $899,000.
The 50-by-150-foot space is located at 5050 S. Greenwood Ave. and was once owned by convicted Illinois fundraiser Antoin “Tony” Rezko. Though there's no home on the property, plans for a single-family dwelling reportedly are available.
Anthony Rouches, the @properties agent assigned to the lot, told the Chicago Tribune he offered the lot to Obama but the president wasn't interested.
Now the couple who own the lot are unloading it, and prospective buyers might have to jump through a couple of hoops just to see it.
Rouches told the Chicago Sun-Times that financial info must be submitted ahead of a showing and surprise visits aren't allowed. Names for showings must be submitted 24 hours in advance.
