Kirk: Feds Shouldn't Bailout Illinois

Illinois Senator Mark Kirk took an unusual stance against his own state, Friday.

The junior senator from Illinois held a press conerence to announce his "No Bailout for States" resolution, a bill he introduced in the U.S. Senate.

In short, Kirk argues against having the federal governement bailout states that default on their loans.

Currently there are two states in danger of such action: Illinois and California.

"We would put further pressure on the credit of the United States, which is already in jeapordy after the report by the S&P rating agency."
