Joe Walsh Expanding to New Office

Congressman Joe Walsh is expanding.

The Tea Party Republican on Monday will open a second Congressional office in addition to the one in Fox Lake. Walsh says the new Woodstock location is meant "to help serve constituents in McHenry County and the surrounding areas."

“I promised to open multiple offices in the district in order to better serve the constituents of Illinois’ 8th district," Walsh said in a statement. "In an effort to be the most accessible Congressman in the country, I hope this new office gives the people of McHenry more accessibility to me and my staff."

Walsh said he's excited to work more closely with the people of McHenry County.  That's saying something, considering he lost his temper over the weekend with a Lake County group in Gurnee.

At a “Cup of Joe With Joe Walsh” meeting at UNO Bar & Grille, Walsh lit into constituents who suggested that the Bush Administration may have been to blame by hiring Wall Streeters to regulate the financial industry.

Walsh opens his Woodstock district office at 9 a.m. Monday at 124 Cass St., Unit 2, in Woodstock.
