The Candidate: Jim Hickey
The Race: Democratic Party Candidate for the 11th Congressional District.
The Competition: Bill Foster, Juan Thomas
The Buzz: Jim Hickey, president of the Orland Fire Protection District, is a life-long resident of the South-Side of Chicago. He currently works as a Director of Business Development at Peace Village, a local retirement community, and coaches baseball and basketball with the Orland Youth Association, and Football with the Orland Pioneer Organization. He will be graduating this year with his MBA from DePaul University.
If elected, Hickey plans to increase cash-flow to the middle-class by fixing the housing market. He hopes to lower gas prices and work towards making college education affordable for all Americans through a student loan reform as well.
