    "I think Scott should have stayed where he won.  He had won, he had earned it. To give it up, seems to have suggested there's a reason he gave it up."  

    That's the Rev. Sen. James Meeks, speaking about Scott Lee Cohen's "longshot" chances of winning the race for governor.

    Cohen, who announced the selection of his running mate today, said he first approached Meeks with the job offer. Meeks, of course, declined.
