"I Could Beat the President Running for Governor in Illinois Today"
That's Illinois gubernatorial candidate Bill Brady talking about the state of Illinois politics to Politico. The GOP candidate says the Democrats are hurting so bad that not even Obama could win a state-wide race, much less Pat Quinn.
Brady, currently a state senator, has a history with the president. The two used to play poker together. Despite Obama's relationship with politicos from both sides of the aisle, Brady says he should probably stay away from Illinois for a while. At least as long as the Rod Blagojevich corruption trial is going on.
