Giannoulias Sprints Away From Media

You can't outrun the media, Alexi. We have boom mikes.

Alexi Giannoulias spoke at a labor rally in Federal Plaza to support Wall Street reform. Afterwards, in an attempt to avoid media questions, he sprinted through a post office on Dearborn. As in ran. As in quickly. But to no avail. A gaggle of hardscrabble journos ran after him and pounced.

NBC reporter and limber-legged journo-lete Mary Ann Ahern was at the scene. The reporters only caught up with Giannoulias for a brief minute. Ahern sets the scrum scene thusly:

Reporter: "Do you need a hug from Obama today?"

Giannoulias: "haha."

Exit Giannoulias.

END SCENE.

Video to come.
