The Buzz: Garrett M. Peck identifies lowering taxes, jobs and government debt as priorities for his campaign. Peck wants to repeal the most recent Illinois tax increase. He feels his experience as a small business owner can help him work better to manage the state's finances.
Peck feels current state policies are driving away jobs, and agreed with an editorial appearing in the Chicago Tribune in which Caterpillar's CEO wrote that the state was not doing enough to improve the business and jobs climate.
Peck also opposes requirements for statewide handgun registration and taxes on ammunition.
