Former Mayor Richard Daley was discharged Saturday from Northwestern Hospital.
Former Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, who was taken to Northwestern Hospital ICU last Saturday, was released Saturday, according to his spokeswoman Jackie Heard.
It's not clear what ailment sent Daley to the ICU following a flight back to Chicago from Arizona last weekend, but the former mayor was held in the hospital for seven days to undergo tests.
Daley, 71, served as Chicago's mayor since 1989. His 22 years in office made him the longest serving mayor.
