The Buzz: Lieberman was a former street reporter and copy editor at City News Bureau before he decided to pursue a career in law. After working at various firms, Lieberman became a partner at Wheaton Law firm, now known as Huck Bouma, P.C. Shortly after, Lieberman became CEO of a company he counseled called Firstlogic, Inc. He currently works as a consultant and mentor for young entrepreneurs.
Lieberman is running as a Republican, but he formerly worked as Democratic Precinct Committeeman and was the Democratic candidate for State Attorney of DuPage County in 1988. Lieberman chose to run in this year's election because he believes incumbents should not be allowed to run unopposed.
