Emanuel Polls Above 50 Percent

The Chicago Retail Merchants Association says Rahm Emanuel will easily win the mayor's race on Februrary 22 -- no runoff needed.

According to the results of a poll, which was conducted on February 13 and surveyed 2,252 likely voters, Emanuel has 58.21 percent of the vote. (Full results of the poll here.)

Gery Chico comes in second with 23.72 percent of the vote, but second place is a moot point if Emanuel cruises to more than 50 percent of the vote.

Rounding out the top four are Miguel del Valle with 10.39 percent of the vote and Carol Moseley Braun with 6.04 percent.
