Congressmen Plan House Speech on Chicago's Violence

The congressmen will offer their insights and potential solutions to the city's violence

Members of Illinois' congressional delegation plan to speak on the floor of the House of Representative about gun violence in Chicago.

U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush plans to give the speech on Wednesday evening. U.S. Rep. Danny Davis and Robin Kelly plan to join him. Rush's office says the congressmen will offer their insights and potential solutions to the city's violence.

Special order speeches usually happen at the end of the day after the House has completed legislative business. Individual representatives can deliver speeches on topics of their choice.
