Chinese President to Visit Chicago

The president of China is making just one U.S. stop besides Washington next week--a two-day tour of Chicago.

Hu Jintao arrives in the city Jan. 20, Mayor Richard Daley announced Wednesday, the Chicago Tribune reports. Daley, who visited China last year, said he hopes the visit will promote Chicago as a gateway to the U.S.

Hu will be in the U.S. on Tuesday and leave next Friday, the Tribune reports.
