Finance committe chairman and all around powerful alderman Ed Burke reached out to 45th Ward Alderman-elect John Arena with a treat.
"He said he's going to call me landslide," Arena said, referring to his 28 vote victory in Tuesday's election.
Arena won by the slimmest of margins, but he said a vote's a vote.
"We overshot by 28 and we're happy with that," said Arena, who's confident his victory would stand.
There's no automatic recount so that would have to come from John Garrido's camp to call for that. Garrido has not called to concede.
Emanuel hasn't called to congratulate him (as of press time) but the mayor-elect said he had reached out to a number of last night's winners.
