Rod Blagojevich testified during his retrial Thursday that he wanted to appoint himself to Barack Obama's Senate seat.

And he had a specific reason for why he wanted the post.

Blagojevich said he talked with aide Robert Greenlee in 2008 about taking the seat and going to Afghanistan to track down Osama Bin Laden.

The prosecution objected to that statement.
