Blago Book Publisher Folds

Like Walt Frazier's confidence without Just for Men, the publishing house behind Rod Blagojevich’s tell-all political book “The Governor” has disappeared.

Phoenix Books sent an email to its clients last week informing them that they would  be shuttering.

"Everything pending has been canceled, and all rights to our books and audio revert back to the authors and agents as of Friday," the email said.

Ward Room can't imagine how this could happen, especially when Phoenix's late CEO, Michael Viner, was such a paragon of reason.

Blago’s publicist said the former governor was sorry to hear the news.

"The governor will always be grateful to Phoenix and to its late publisher Michael Viner for believing in him and for giving him a platform to share the truth," Selig said.
