Bill Daley Raises $800,000 in Three Weeks

Bill Daley made sure he was the first candidate for governor to announce his second-quarter fundraising totals. Last night, he issued this tweet from @BillDaleyIL, his official campaign feed:

"We’re still processing contributions but looks like we’ve raised $800,000 in less than 3 weeks! TY everyone for being a part of this"
An hour later, he followed it up with this dig at Gov. Pat Quinn:
"Fwiw, in less than 3 wks our campaign raised more ($800k) than @GovernorQuinn did in 3 months #IL"
Daley announced his campaign for governor on June 11, so $800,000 is an impressive total for 19 days. It’s still, however, less money than Attorney General Lisa Madigan ($4.4 million) or Quinn ($1.5 million) had in their campaign funds as of March 31.
