The Buzz: Antonio Muñoz , a retired Chicago police officer and U.S. Army Veteran, has been representing the 1st District since 1999. After serving in the Senate for 10 years, he was appointed to the position of Assistant Majority Leader. He is also the co-founder and treasurer of the Latino Caucus and helped pass a bill to grant llinois' children of illegal immigrants access to instate tuition levels.
