2nd District Candidates Share Video Messages




    With the primaries for the 2nd Congressional District special election fast approaching, Ward Room asked candidates to send in a video message describing their campaign platforms.

    Here are the first five we've received:

    Anthony Beale

    Anthony Beale says his 14 years as an alderman makes him a suitable candidate, pointing out that Bobby Rush, Danny Davis and Luis Gutiérrez all served as alderman before moving onto Congress.

    Pratrick Brutus says he is ready to serve with honor and integrity. He says he is experienced in community and economic development, allowing him to create more jobs and lower unemployment rates.

    Lenny McCallister says he is going to be a humble leader and rise above the bickering. McCallister wants to restrengthen the 2nd District as an example for the rest of America.
