Perhaps nobody was looking at the Rod Blagojevich trial closer than the defendant's brother, Robert.
Robert Blagojevich was also faced corruption charges in the first trial, but after a hung jury failed to reach a decision, prosecutors decided no to retry him.
"I'm personally devastated," Robert Blagojevich said from his Nashville, TN home. "We were not expecting this outcome, but it's still very new for us."
Robert Blagojevich says he's surprised by the jury's decision because he's intimately familiar with the evidence in the case. He says 400 hours worth of tapes that were excluded from the trial could have helped his brother.
"It deterred my brother's ability, I believe, to get all of the evidence in, so I'm very frustrated from that."
Robert Blagojevich also said his brother is a fighter and won't give up his quest to clear his name.
