Nike To Give Away 20 Chicago Marathon Entries

Nike.com

While there have been many discussions and quite a bit of speculation surrounding the Bank of America Chicago Marathon's new lottery entry feature this year, there are still a few ways to guarantee yourself a spot in the world famous October race.

You won't have to do anything too crazy, just head downtown this weekend and sample a new product. Not too shabby, right? Here are the details:

Nike is rewarding the first 10 people on both Saturday and Sunday mornings who test out their new Nike Free collection with an automatic entry into the Chicago Marathon. Nike Free is the 2014 line that gives you flexibility with FlyKnit uppers that conform to you, and hexagonal flex grooves that allow your foot to move in a more natural pattern.

So this weekend, you just have to be one of the first 20 people to run 2.62 miles in these new kicks, and you'll get a redemption code to skip that pesky lottery and be automatically registered. (You do still have to pay the entry fee though!)

The games begin at Nike Chicago, located at 669 N. Michigan Ave. Doors open at 10 a.m., but if you're trying to be first in line, you'll have to get there a little earlier than that. Are you headed to Nike this weekend? Tweet at @StrideNBC what time you'll be camping out on Michigan Avenue... and good luck!
