Registration for 2014 Chicago Marathon Begins in March

It seems like it just ended, but the city is already looking forward to the 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

Race organizers announced this week that registration for the Oct. 12 race will open in March, two weeks later than this year and a full month later than last year.

The Active.com registration for 2013 was suspended after overwhelming demand crashed the site, and the remaining 15,000 (of a total 45,000) bibs were doled out via lottery.

Executive Director Carey Pinkowski said last year that he would be looking at the lottery process for 2014's registration, but for now runners will have to wait to find out registration details via the race website, Facebook page, and email newsletter in January.
