Register for the May 3rd Wisconsin Marathon

Looking for a destination race, but don’t want to travel too far? Want to do a Midwestern marathon but can’t wait until October? Love running along Lake Michigan, but need a change in perspective? Look no further than the Wisconsin Marathon and Half Marathon on May 3rd, 2014.

The course starts in downtown Kenosha, Wisconsin, just an hour from Chicago, and snakes through residential areas, along the lakefront, and to the scenic Harbor Park for the grand finale. It’s a largely flat, out-and-back course (with just a few hills in the first ten miles).

Participants receive a Wisconsin Marathon technical shirt, goodie bag, and a sweet finishers’ medal complete with transparent orange cheese decoration and the all-important bottle opener. That medal will come in handy at the post-race brat and beer party too, featuring a live band and plenty of food and fun.

Registration through March 14th is $55 for the half, $75 for the marathon, and then through April 25th it’s $60 and $80 respectively. Race-day registration jumps to $70 for the half and $90 for the full, so sign up here before then. There’s also a 2-mile Family Fitness Walk/Run for $15.

The Wisconsin Marathon is a Boston Qualifier, and part of three separate marathon series: the Marathons of Wisconsin Series Challenge, the Great Lakes Marathon Series, and the Mitten Challenge.
