Sammy Kitwara enters the 2014 Bank of America Chicago Marathon with the fifth-fastest personal best in the field (2:05:16).
An advantage for the Kenyan may be familiarity with the course after placing fourth at the 2012 Chicago Marathon with a time of 2:05:54, and placing third with his personal best in last year's race.
Kitwara excels in shorter races -- his 58:48-minute personal best at the Philadelphia Half Marathon makes him the fourth fastest runner ever for the distance -- but needs to put it all together for his first major marathon win.
There's no reason why it can't be in Chicago this year.
