New Wrinkle in Teen Sensation's “Glee” Appearance Makes It a Must See

Baby-faced singing sensation Charice was going to be a big enough deal when she entered the "Glee" world. But the fact that the star has created controversy over Botox -- at the tender age of 18 -- has made her upcoming Glee appearances must watch television.

First we have the 18-year-old Filipino with the magical voice who has generated tremendous buzz after career-making appearances on Oprah and Ellen Degeneres' talk shows. Then we get the news that Charice will be appearing on "Glee," offering Glee Club competition to Lea Michelle on the show. It already has the makings of great show drama.

Then Charice announces that she prepared for her debut by getting Botox and an anti-aging procedure, according to the AP.  How can you possibly miss this television appearance?

Her celebrity cosmetic surgeon told a television station that the young star underwent a 30-minute Thermage skin-tightening procedure and Botox injections to make her "naturally round face" more narrow.

"All people will be anticipating how will Charice look? Is she good enough to pit against Rachel Berry (Lea)? So of course there is tremendous pressure," Charice said, according to the AP.

Charice's U.S. rep, sensing a crisis that went beyond teenage wrinkles, immediately kicked it into gear. Liz Rosenberg told the AP in an email that the Botox was "absolutely not cosmetic" and said the treatment was for muscle pain in her jaw.

Somehow you get the feeling we haven't heard the last of this.
