Billy Crystal. Ricky Gervais. Seth Rogen?

Yep. It's just been announced that the "50/50" and "Green Hornet" star will be hosting the 2012 Independent Spirit Awards from Santa Monica on February 25th.

“We’re incredibly excited to have Seth as the host for the 2012 Film Independent Spirit Awards and join us in celebrating this year’s exquisite films and talented filmmaking artists," said Film Independent senior director Sean McManus in an official statement. "Seth’s charm, intelligence and quick wit are sure to light up the room and will make for a truly entertaining afternoon."

The cancer-themed comedy "50/50," which Rogen not only co-stars in but also produced, is up for a few awards during the ceremony, including Best Feature and a Supporting Actress nod for Anjelica Huston.

We only hope Rogen can keep it together when faced with difficult-to-pronounce foreign film titles better than he did during the 2009 Oscars.

The Independent Spirit Awards will air live February 25, 2012, at 10 PM ET on IFC.
