Sci-fi Septuplets Thriller Going from Black List to Big Screen

Don't despair if you've never heard of Morten Tyldum, director of the highest-grossing film in Norway's history, he'll be making a name for himself in Hollywood soon enough.

Tyldum has signed on to direct "What Happened to Monday?" reported Deadline. Here's the synopsis for the script by Max Botkin, made the 2010 Black List:

"In a world where families are allowed only one child due to overpopulation, a resourceful set of identical septuplets must avoid government execution and dangerous infighting while investigating the disappearance of one of their own."

See--now that's a interesting premise. Who'd'a guessed it would come from the same man who penned "Hot Dogs," about a police dog who must go undercover at the Eastminster dog show?

This will be Tyldum's English-language debut, coming on the heels of "Headhunters," his adaptation ofthe Jo Nesbo novel about an art thief whose cover is being a corporate headhunter, which was a huge hit in the festival circuit this year.
