Sandra Bullock may be leading the Best Actress buzz right now, but here comes Meryl Streep.

One major theme among the Academy Award nominated actresses -- they are in no rush to jump into another project right now.

Both Sandra Bullock and Carey Mulligan told the assembled media at the Oscar nominees luncheon on Monday that they are taking their sweet time in choosing their next project. While Meryl Streep did not hit the media room, she too has has signaled that after making 12 movies in 4 years, she is taking a break.

Bullock said of her Oscar nomination for "The Blind Side," "it scares you because it's like you think, what do I do now?"

"I don't know what could possibly compare to this energy and this moment so I've decided not to look at work until this is all over so I can make a real judgment," said said.

She pointed out that her Oscar nomination will help her find quality work down the line and she plans to continue to "work hard for the next 10 to 15 years."

On the other end of the age spectrum, Carey Mulligan did not seem the slightest bit bothered about her career prospects despite admitting: "I haven't got a job to start after this."

We will see her in "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" and "Never Let Me Go" with Keira Knightley and Andrew Garfield. These movies are in the can. But despite a number of reports and rumors  she insists "there's nothing else" on the schedule once she steps away from Oscar madness.

Mulligan admitted that it was a relief not to have a project so that she could truly savor her first Oscar run. "It's good that I haven't worked around this, because I wouldn't have been able to do all of this stuff," she said with a giddy smile, after comparing her new hairstyle to the color of the massive Oscars behind her. "But it's not overwhelming or stressful. It's just really amazing."
