New on Home Video: "The Mechanic" Is "The Rite" "Roommate" for "The Other Woman"

    It's another thin week on the home video front for recent films, a bunch of hitmen, husband-thieves, exorcisms and straight-to-video failures. But there's also a pair of all-time classics in the mix.

    Beverly Hills Cop
    The comedy that made Eddie Murphy a certified movie star, he stars a police officer from Detroit to heads off to LA to fight crime. The film also made Mumford High t-shirts wildly popular. Watch the trailer

    Daydream Nation
    Kat Dennings stars as a precocious girl who moves to a small town where she begins a relationship with one of her teachers, played by Josh Lucas. Unfortunately, a local teenager gets caught in the crossfire of a love triangle. Watch the trailer

    "The Roommate"

    Leighton Meester is a deranged college freshman who becomes totally, single-white-female obsessed with her new roomie, Minka Kelly. Opens Feb. 4.

    Diabolique: The Criterion Collection (1955)
    This classic French thriller centers on the wife of a headmaster and his mistress, who together plot his death. Things get interesting when his body goes missing. Watch the trailer

    The Hustler
    Paul Newman in one of his greatest roles, as Fast Eddie Felson, a pool shark with a heart of stone who hits bottom only to get back on top, before finding himself back on the brink. Brilliant supporting performances from Piper Laurie and Jackie Gleason. Watch the trailer

    "The Rite"

    A young seminary student travels to Rome to attend exorcism school at the Vatican, where he meets a strange old priest, played by Anthony Hopkins, in the religious thriller.

    I Want Your Money
    A documentary from Ray Griggs outlines his argument for the belief that President Obama wants to take all your money and have the government control everything. Includes interviews with likes of Mike Huckabee, Andrew Breitbart and Newt Gingrich. Watch the trailer

    The Mechanic
    Jason Statham stars alongside Ben Foster of this remake of the Charles Bronson classic about a hitman who teaches a protege the tricks of the trade only to suspect that he's going to be double-crossed. Watch the trailer

    "The Mechanic"

    Jason Statham takes on a role made famous by Charles Bronson in this remake of the 1972 actioner about an elite hitman who takes his dead mentor's son, played by Ben Foster, under his wing. We smell betrayal brewing. "The Mechanic" opens for business May 20, 2011.

    The Other Woman
    Natalie Portman stars as a woman who falls for and weds a married man, loses her one-day-old baby to SIDS and struggles with her relationship with her stepson, in this film from director Don Roos. Now available on Blu-ray and DVD, watch the trailer

    The Rite
