For whatever reason, Anna Faris is suddenly one of the hottest commodities in Hollywood, and she is  wasting no time capitalizing on it.

Faris is in talks to star opposite Sacha Baron Cohen in "The Dictator," reported Deadline. Baron co-wrote the film, which is being directed by his longtime collaborator, Larry Charles ("Borat", "Bruno").

"The Dictator," which Paramount has joked will "tell the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed," finds Cohen playing a ruthless despot who comes to New York City to address the U.N.

But while he's stateside, The Dictator's #2 replaces him with a lookalike, also played by Cohen, leaving the deposed leader to wander the streets of NYC, during which time he meets the owner of an organic food store, possibly Faris, who changes his world view.

The story is said to be based on the novel "Zabibah and The King," which was allegedly written by Saddam Hussein, and which the CIA studied at length for clues to what made the Iraqi strongman tick. It sounds more like Khaddafy meets "The Devil's Double" to us.

Faris can next be seen Spet. 30 alongside Chris Evans in "What's Your Number?"
