After missing the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade, the new-look Chicago Bulls will try to rebound from the disappointment when their season begins against the Boston Celtics in late October.

The game, which will take place at the United Center, will be the first test for a Bulls squad that will look significantly different than the one that missed the postseason last year. Players like Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah are gone, and in their place players like Dwyane Wade, Robin Lopez, and Rajon Rondo will try to move Fred Hoiberg's squad further.

The full 2016-17 schedule can be found at the end of this post, but for those looking for the best games on the slate, we've picked five of the best games for fans to check out.

Nov. 4: vs. New York Knicks

The Knicks made a big splash this offseason when they acquired Rose from the Bulls, and they also signed Noah in free agency to further cement the Chicago connection with the team.

This game will mark the first time that Rose and Noah have played in Chicago against the Bulls, and the atmosphere will certainly be an interesting one as the reunion takes place.

    Dec. 2: vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

LeBron James and the defending NBA champion Cavaliers will make their first appearance in Chicago on this date, bringing huge expectations for a repeat along with them.

The game will represent a significant test for the Bulls, who have long been thwarted by James when it comes to their postseason hopes.

    Dec. 13: vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Speaking of reunions, Tom Thibodeau will make his triumphant return to Chicago with the young and exciting Timberwolves. Players like Andrew Wiggins, Ricky Rubio, and Zack LaVine bring intense athleticism and skill to the mix, and the Bulls will have their hands full with their former coach's squad.

Dec. 25: at San Antonio Spurs

The Bulls will once again have a Christmas Day game on their schedule, and a battle with the Spurs should provide an intriguing matchup. With Tim Duncan gone, the Spurs will have a decidedly younger look, and players like LaMarcus Aldridge will look to take on his leadership mantel.

March 2: vs. Golden State Warriors

The Miami Heat were the Bulls' ultimate nemesis when they had James, Wade, and Chris Bosh, and now the Warriors are on a similar level talent-wise. With Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Kevin Durant, the Warriors are unquestionably an incredibly talented team, and they could possibly threaten their own single-season wins record next year.
