Bulls Recall Teague from D-League

After eight games with the Iowa Energy, Marquis Teague is rejoining the Bulls

After eight games with the Iowa Energy of the NBA D-League, the Chicago Bulls have recalled Marquis Teague to join the team.

Teague was sent down on Dec. 26, his second of the year, although the first didn’t stick as he was immediately recalled after veteran guard Mike James was diagnosed with an MCL sprain.

During his time Iowa, Teague averaged 12 points, 4.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game. He shot 46 percent from the field, 33 percent from the three-point line and 60 percent from the free throw line.

The point guard also averaged three turnovers per game while playing for the Energy.

This season with the Bulls, the second-year guard has played in 19 games – with two starts – and averages of 2.4 points, 1.5 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 12.7 minutes. He will be available when the Bulls face the Orlando Magic on the road Wednesday night.
