Noah Says Tequila Shots Helped Him On GQ Photo Shoot

The Bulls big man is currently featured in the March issue of GQ Magazine

A couple of years ago, Derrick Rose graced the cover of GQ magazine. This year, although he’s not on the cover, another Chicago Bulls player is appearing in the popular men’s magazine: Joakim Noah.

The two-time All-Star appears in the March issue featuring LeBron James on the cover, and the usually outspoken big man admitted to being a little camera shy, despite appearing on the cover of GQ France with his father, Yannick Noah, in a 2009 issue of the magazine.

"I was a little nervous,” Noah admitted of his recent shoot. "So I actually had a couple of tequila shots, and it helped me out so much."

Noah also admitted that he enjoyed being one of the NBA’s “villains,” saying, “When you look at the people all the way at the top of the arena, and they look so small, right? And they're just jumping up and down, being like, ‘F*** you!'—there's nothing better than that."

And on his NBA hero, Noah says it was none other than former Lakers big man Vlade Divac.

"Shout-out to Vlade Divac! He was killing those guys," said Noah. "Smoking a pack of cigarettes, throwing bounce passes, just doing it!"
