The life of an NBA rookie isn't easy, as Erik Murphy found out on Tuesday night.
When you’re a rookie in the NBA, hazing is a part of your introduction into the league. And no, we’re not talking about a situation similar to the Miami Dolphin’s fiasco.
Rookie hazing in the NBA is much milder; like making guys carry My Little Pony bookbags, paying for dinner, getting your teammates car washed, or singing happy birthday.
The latter is what happened to Bulls rookie forward Erik Murphy in Atlanta. After Chicago’s 107-103 victory over the Hawks, Murphy had to sing happy birthday to Joakim Noah in the locker room, and veteran center Nazr Mohammed recorded everything and posted it on his Instagram account.
Welcome to the NBA, rook!
