D. Rose Featured on Cover of SI's NBA Season Preview Issue

Rose is featured on one of Sports Illustrated four commemorative covers kicking off the 2013-14 NBA season

Derrick Rose’s return to the Chicago Bulls is one of the most talked about storylines of the year, and the regular season hasn’t even started yet. But the way he’s been tearing up the team’s exhibition schedule during the preseason, his play has certainly made the anticipation of his comeback to the NBA even more palpable.

So much so that Sports Illustrated gave D. Rose one of their four different covers of the magazine’s annual NBA season preview issue to kick-off the league’s 2013-14 campaign.

Rose’s cover features him in the Bulls red road uniform with a headline that reads," The Joint’s Going To Be Jumping: Derrick Rose Has a new Knee (And Five New Inches of Vert)."

SI staff writer Jenny Vrentas documents Rose’s comeback from his ACL injury, and offers a hint of what fans can expect from him this season now that he’s back on the court.

Other covers include new Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard, head coach Kevin McHale and Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon, Golden State Warriors Star Stephen Curry, and the new look Brooklyn Nets with rookie head coach Jason Kidd and his staring lineup of Deron Williams, Brook Lopez, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Joe Johnson.
