President Obama used his Twitter account to welcome Derrick Rose back to the NBA on Tuesday.

Derrick Rose’s comeback to the Bulls elicited excitement from fans all around the NBA. But who knew that excitement went all the way to the White House?

Chicago native and unabashed basketball and Bulls fan, President Barack Obama, took to Twitter on Tuesday night to welcome D. Rose back to the NBA.

Unfortunately, it’s unlikely Rose even saw the tweet considering he hasn’t used his Twitter account since June. But it was still a nice gesture from one Chicagoan to another and a not-so subtle reminder that not only is the NBA back, but Derrick Rose is too.
