Carlos Boozers' Younger Brother to Play on Bulls Summer League Squad

Charles Boozer, who played collegiately at Iowa State, will be in Las Vegas with the Chicago Bulls as part of their summer league team

Siblings of NBA players have always gotten their shot to play summer league basketball and have a shot at a team recognizing their talent and earning an invite to training camp. Last summer Ryan Allen, and younger brother of Tony Allen and best friend of Derrick Rose, played summer league with the Memphis Grizzlies and was later invited to take part in training camp with the Chicago Bulls.

This summer, Charles Boozer, younger brother of Carlos Boozer, will have an opportunity to showcase his talent as he’ll be suiting up for the Bulls on their summer league squad in Las Vegas.

You’re probably not even aware that Boozer had a younger brother that played basketball, but the 25-year-old Charles played collegiately at Iowa State and finished with averages of 2.6 points per game in 8.3 minutes on the floor. Not exactly big time numbers, but he did play Division I basketball which counts for something.

The 6-3 guard left the Cyclones program in 2010 after an incident with a young woman led to trouble with the police. He pretty much disappeared from the basketball map after that, but maybe his appearance in Vegas will resurrect his basketball career. Maybe not with an NBA team, but no matter the league, professional basketball is just that.
